What is the tariff during the one-year test period?

The CEB’s Board has approved the tariff of 4.00 MUR/kWh for the energy exported to the CEB’s grid during the testing and monitoring phase.

Note that the electricity has to mandatorily comply with the Grid Code requirements (please refer to CEB's website )

What are the possibilities following the one-year test period?

Kindly note that there shall be a Minimum Guaranteed Performance (in terms of annual energy production) which the Developer has to meet during the testing and monitoring phase. The Minimum Guaranteed Performance shall be specified in the Connection Agreement to be signed with the CEB. In the case, same is satisfied, CEB may consider up-scaling the pilot phase.

Note that final decision for up-scaling shall also depend the CEB’s Board resolution, MEPU approval and successful negotiation of an ESPA.

How will the Intellectual Property be protected?

Please note the only CEB, MARENA and MRC will be involved in assessment of the proposal for this NSEIRET Scheme and will be bound by a Confidentiality & Non-Disclosure Agreement (CNDA).

At the time of execution of the Connection Agreement, a Confidentiality & Non-Disclosure Agreement (CNDA) will be signed among the members involved in this process. A template of the CNDA is available for reference at the following link.
