Solar Booklet
MARENA, in collaboration with UNDP under the GCF Project, has produced a Solar Booklet for distribution at the series of awareness campaigns targeting women at community level.
The publication entitled "Booklet lor Lenerzi Soler" is in Kreol and based on the Solar Booklet produced by the CEB.

Launching of Awareness Campaigns - Secondary Schools
on Renewable Energy (with focus on Solar Energy)
MARENA is pleased to launch the first of a series of awareness campaigns, with the support of UNDP, on Renewable Energy (with focus on solar energy) in secondary schools, targeting Lower VI students.
The purpose of these awareness raising sessions will be to assist students:
Have a better understanding of RE and identify the different types of RE sources;
Understand how electricity is produced using solar energy;
Identify the different components of a PV system and get acquainted with the different applications of photovoltaic systems;
Be informed of the different schemes available in Mauritius with respect to Solar PV; and
Be aware of the different solar energy jobs.
The inaugural activity under this campaign was at Queen Elizabeth College, Rose-Hill.
